Jeff has been my personal trainer
three half hours a week for over a year. My primary
reasons for having a trainer are based around health issues
involving diabetes and a general need to become a healthier
seventy-year-old.
Jeff varies the
activities to develop strength, endurance, and safety. He
knows which muscles to engage,how machines and equipment need to be
used for safety and effectiveness, and in
which areas I need the most practice. He shows me what I am
to do, he encourages me, he drives me, and he has a sense of humor to make
working out more fun. With his guidance and management of my
workouts, I can leg press over 400 pounds and arm press over 100 pounds.
He knows and directs me in the proper way to do these tasks by
altering weights and activities. Having a trainer has
developed my confidence, improved my health, taught me to understand my body and
how it functions, and given me a measure of pride that I have
accomplished so much. I work with Jeff because
I trust him and his
ability to provide me with proper guidance to continue in my quest
for better health.

Throughout my life, I have started and abandoned numerous weight loss/fitness programs. The primary reasons were lack of motivation and results. Realizing that at 50 years old, my attempts at another unstructured, unguided fitness program would most likely yield minimal results as well. Determined to lose weight, and feel better about my appearance, I searched fitness training in Cleveland and found the 3setsof10 website. I contacted Jeff and arranged to attend a Boot Camp session. WOW!......the rest of my story describes, quite possibly, one of the most personally satisfying activities that I have done for myself in a very long time!!! BOOT CAMP Boot Camp was great! I joined a group of 4-6 women and immediately felt welcome and comfortable participating in the workouts. The Boot Camp sessions conducted by Jeff are encouraging for each and every participant, regardless of stamina and fitness level. I enjoyed each session as Jeff ensured that workouts were always varied and challenging. Jeff provided me with guidance on necessary dietary changes and at each session, campers are always encouraged by Jeff to maintain healthy eating habits. After 4 months of Boot Camp and eating healthy, as well as continuing exercises instructed by Jeff on my own, I lost 14 total inches and 14 pounds! PERSONAL TRAINING I am still a Boot Camper and continue to benefit from the workouts and the commeraderie of the other campers, but have also begun Personal Training with to take my workout to the next level. After 5 months of Boot Camp and 2 months of Personal Training with Jeff, I truly feel like I have reinvented myself!! Jeff has designed a personal training program for me that has increased my cardio endurance and my overall strength and stamina. Jeff's knowledge of health wellness and fitness is so impressive and he is an expert in guiding clients to reach their personal fitness/training goals. After taking a year off from the gym
I decided it was time to reintroduce myself to the old sweat and burn.
Jeff wrote me up a 6 week fat burning routine which I followed to
the letter. Within that 6 week span, my cardio endurance increased and my body
fat dropped. After the first 6 weeks Jeff switched my program from
fat burning to building muscle mass. After 6 weeks on the new program,
my strength has almost doubled and my body composition has changed. If
you are seeking a motivated, effective, knowledgeable trainer then I definitely
recommend Jeff Phillips. The last thing I want to say is, when your
being trained by Jeff, be ready to WORK!!!

you Can lose up to (8) lbs. A month and keep it off is accurate.
I’ve been attending his boot camps *** 3setsof10.com*** for (4)
wks, and I’ve already lost a whopping 7.5 lbs. The Individual
diet, nutrition plans, and helpful tips he’s giving us, are
supplying us with the tools we need to keep it off. The camps are fun and the
other campers are terrific workout buddies, very motivational!
We’re having so much fun that we don’t realize that we’re working
out until the next morning when we awake with sore aching
muscles. Jeff is the ULTIMATE
trainer! He and his boot camps have done in (4)wks. What I couldn’t
accomplish on my own in (3) months. Amazing how those (7.5) lbs.
Just seemed to melt off. I actually lost (1) of those stubborn lbs
of fat, the first day I attended his camp. Imagine my surprise the
morning after my first session when I stepped upon the scales (1)lb
lighter. My thighs and love handles

My experience with Jeff
has taught me valuable information about exercise and

WAKE UP! WAKE
UP! It's time to join a gym! I heard this voice inside my head for
years and never had the motivation or courage to enter one of these
facilities. Then I turned 40 years old. Now the voice was saying
WAKE UP CALL! WAKE UP CALL!I found myself gaining weight,not
active, and just plain old tired. The summer came and I joined a
gym and signed up with Jeff for once a week personal training
sessions. I was finally going to work out. My measurements were
embarrassing, 181 pounds, 35 inch waist, 38" chest. My cholesterol
was very high, 285 to be exact. I was determined but still
embarrassed. I began working out and watching all these people look
good, exercising, lifting huge amounts of weight, and in shape. I
thought to myself, " will I too be able to achieve what I am
witnessing?
Then I had my
first training session with Jeff. We hit it off well and we started
doing some push-ups. He instantly gave me courage and
determination,even though at first, I was only able to do 20
push-ups and do mininal bench press reps with only the bar. Jeff
was motivating,and said, "don't worry it'll get better". He was
right in so many ways. I dropped about 12 pounds, my waist size
went down to 33", my chest increased to 40" and my cholesterol
dropped to 175. I am now able to do 100 + push-ups, run 3 to 6
miles, spend an hour on the elliptical, and actually do pull-ups,an
exercise i was never able to do.
Thanks to
having Jeff as my trainer, I now have the ability,courage, and
determination to exercise on a daily basis and have made the
lifestyle change to be at the gym 4 to 5 days a week. Most
importantly, when I am away from home, exercise is still part of my
daily routine. thanks Jeff,
for changing my life, atitude, as well as waking me up.
